Janet & Mark Brady

Janet has over 30 years of experience in medical fitness having been the Director of Health Promotions for Tahoe Forest Hospital from 1988 to 2007 where she was responsible for the development of a wide range of health promotion and medical fitness programs that provided the platform from which to launch the hospital districts first medical fitness center.  

Janet also was the Director of Medical Programs for LifeSpan Fitness and the creator of the award winning  “Interactive Health Partner – online health and fitness outcomes management system.”  

Janet also has unique experience working with a wide range of national organizations in the development of innovative programs to increase the number of individuals in our country that are medically appropriately exercising. As the Director of Health Promotions, Janet developed comprehensive community and employer based wellness programs in addition to many special events such as, Women’s Wellness Weekend. This event gained national recognition, attracted national sponsors and was a featured event for HEALTH Magazine.  

Janet also co-founded Tahoe Forest Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program “Heart to Heart” and from this program developed the medically based model for her nationally awarded senior exercise program “Fitness Forever.” 

Janet has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work in healthcare, most notably her DVD, "Fitness Forever" received the unprecedented approval of the American College of Sports Medicine, the FREDDIE Award for the best media production in the category of geriatrics from the International Health & Medical Media Awards. In addition, Janet most recently was awarded the 2013 ICAA Innovator Award as the co-developer of the online health and fitness management system the “Interactive Health Partner.” Other awards include, the Molly Mettler Award from the National Council on the Aging for Janet’s work in healthcare and for her production of Fitness Forever.  

Janet also presented in Beijing, China in December of 2013 in the international launch of the “Interactive Health Partner” working with Beijing Sport University, and other Chinese health and fitness professionals. Janet also was asked following her FREDDIE Award to become a Category Chairperson and Judge for the FREDDIE Awards. Janet was also recognized for her innovative breast health program at Tahoe Forest Hospital. She was also invited to represent the United States in an international cancer prevention "Climb To End Cancer" as a member of the 2001 Mt. Fuji team with the Breast Cancer Fund.  

Janet has her Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. She is a frequent presenter at national and international health and medical conferences, and is a consultant to hospitals, healthcare systems and other medically based health promotion programs worldwide.
